Healing anger, nurturing compassion

Article Abstract:

Many animal activists lose heart after the initial enthusiastic months, when they become disillusioned and frustrated at their lack of direct effectiveness. It is at this time that activists must learn not to focus on the negative feelings about the situation, but rather on the positive aspects of how their continued participation can help animals.

People should care about the suffering of nonhumans as there is substantial proof that other animals can feel pain like humans. People can treat each species distinctly, however, equal suffering should be treated without partiality.
