Home health tests are 'genetic horoscopes'
Article Abstract:
An investigation conducted by the US Government Accountability Office (GAO) reveals that online 'nutrigenetic' tests that combine dietary advice with genetics testing are unsafe for people following the misleading medical advice. Most experts believe that these unreliable nutrigenetic tests are different from the legitimate, reliable at-home tests for diseases like cystic fibrosis, despite some of them looking upon such tests as equivalent to 'genetic horoscopes'.

A professor at American Cancer Society at San Diego speaks on the success of India's biotechnology industry which provided increased funds for research, reducing the bureaucracy required for importing research materials, and initiated projects that promote the sharing of expensive equipment and building manpower. He states that the Department of Biotechnology's inception has led its budget to grow from US$15 to more than US$125 a year.

Bioscience in the sun
Article Abstract:
The bioscience field in Florida is booming because of state's government's funding, provisions of huge space for labs, well paid jobs and royalties. The state convinced the three highly regarded California based institutes to set up campuses in Florida, which in turn expected to boost the bioscience industry.
