Identifying predators at northern bobwhite nests
Article Abstract:
A nest predators of northern bobwhites on private lands in northern Florida and Southern Georgia, USA, using continuous infrared micro-video cameras is identified and these results are compared to predictions based on diagnostic sign at nests. It is concluded that diagnostic sign at depredated nests was unreliable for identifying nest predators of northern bobwhites.

Estimating calling rates of northern bobwhite coveys and measuring abundance
Article Abstract:
The covey-calling activity of 219 radiomarked coveys is quantified to assess the effect of weather and bobwhite density on call rates. Recommendations are made to adjust covey-call counts by an estimated calling rate for measuring the fall bobwhite abundance better.
