India makes waves over tsunami warning system
Article Abstract:
India is agreed to share seismic data from four of its monitoring stations as part of a tsunami warning system for the Indian Ocean and this offer is limited to data on earthquakes with a magnitude of six and above, along the coast of Indonesia and Pakistan. The warning system will use a maze of deep ocean sensors and tide gauges surrounding the fault that ruptured on 26th December 2004.

India's nuclear debate hots up after tsunami floods reactor
Article Abstract:
The impact of December's tsunami has to be assessed by the country's fast breeder reactor and a report on the same is required by India's nuclear regulator. Moreover, the Atomic Energy Regulatory Board has not decided whether it should move ahead with the Rs. 35 billion project or it should modify the same, as it is the country's central nuclear energy research programme.

Purdue dogged by misconduct claims
Article Abstract:
Purdue University has set up a third panel for probing the allegations of research misconduct against nuclear engineer Rusi Taleyarkhan. The panel is probing on the authenticity of Taleyarkhan's work on bubble-fusion findings that was funded by the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA).
