Research presented concerns measures of pasture biodiversity and farmland bird populations in Sweden. Topics addressed include the inconclusiveness of using vascular plants as predictors of healthy populations among farmland birds, as well as methods to more effectively manage semi-natural pastures.

Evidence of an Edge Effect on Avian Nest Success
Article Abstract:
The human-disturbance hypothesis, the landscape-structure hypothesis, and the edge-effects hypothesis are examined for their impact on avian nest success. Edge effects are the result of habitat discontinuity; implications for conservation are discussed.
