Interactions between cleaning gobies and territorial damselfish on coral reefs
Article Abstract:
Cleaning stations are specific areas on coral reefs where cleaning organisms and their clients interact for the former to remove debris and parasites from the latter. The effect of a territorial fish species on the behavior of reef organisms in these areas is investigated by observing the interactions between the cleaning gobies, Elacatinus sp, and dusky damselfishes, Stegastes fuscus in cleaning stations within and outside the territory of the dusky damselfish Results reveal that damselfishes induces significant variation on the utilization of cleaning stations.

In situ evidence for ectoparasites as a proximate cause of cleaning interactions in reef fish
Article Abstract:
The effect of ectoparasite load on client behavior under natural conditions is examined. Results reveal that clients spend significantly more time posing for and being inspected by cleaners in the morning than at other times of day.
