Japan tightens focus in space research
Article Abstract:
Japan's agenda for financial reform has resulted in a decision to implement substantial budget reductions in the country's space program. The National Space Development Agency of Japan (NASDA) has responded by scrapping plans to develop the unmanned supply space shuttle HOPE for the country's International Space Station. NASDA now plans to tailor its technology development projects so that they are more responsive to user requirements.
