Low-latitude seasonality of Cretaceous temperatures in warm and cold episodes
Article Abstract:
The seasonality of temperatures is important for constraining equator-to-pole temperature gradients and might indicate the presence of polar ice sheets, however, reconstructions of Cretaceous sea surface temperatures are predominantly based on the oxygen isotopic composition of planktonic foraminifera, which do not provide information about such intra-annual variations. Such large seasonal variability is compatible with the existence of polar ice sheets.

Low methane leakage from gas pipelines
Article Abstract:
The methane leakage measured in the world's largest gas transport system in Russia was found to be around 1.4 % as compared with the systems in the United States. The calculations indicate that the use of natural gas as a replacement for fossil fuels can reduce climate forcing during the transition to cleaner-energy technologies.
