Memorial for Hiroshima and Nagasaki
Article Abstract:
Voluntarily giving up the nuclear option will be the best tribute to the people who died in the Hiroshima and Nagasaki atomic bombings. Signing of bilateral agreements between the US and Russia, the Nuclear Proliferation Treaty and a promise of a Comprehensive Test-Ban Treaty are encouraging as a move toward a nuclear free world. However, proliferation of nuclear knowledge still poses a threat for world peace while abandonment of nuclear power causes environmental problems in managing the waste.
