Article Abstract:
Microbialite resurgence that occurred after the Late Ordovician extinction event in western North America is demonstrated. The resurgence suggests that microbial-mat-inhibiting animals were lost, providing insights into shallow-water community structures after extinction events.

The language sensitivity of infants in an English-speaking environment is investigated. It is found that language learning is developed by linking linguistic forms to universal, preexisting representation of sound and meaning.
