Mixing Mala
Article Abstract:
An overview is presented on the challenges posed by species reintroduction in Australia, focusing on genetic diversity and population distribution on both the mainland and surrounding islands. It is posited that genetic mixing or interbreeding, used in closely related animal populations, may help species now found only on islands adapt to mainland reintroduction.
