Article Abstract:
Studies show that the anthrax toxin binds to the host's cells and then it commandeers a host protein and tricks it into helping the toxin enter the cell. Efforts are being taken to develop many alternatives that will work at any stage of the infection and more attention is being paid to the anthrax toxin that is responsible for the bacterium's lethal effects.
