End of the brain drain could be in sight
Article Abstract:
Silicon Valley continues to attract large numbers of foreign-born scientists and engineers. There is still strong demand for skilled employees in Silicon Valley, and this is attracting people from Asia, where the economy remains weak. The expanded H1B visa programme, introduced in 1998, will make it possible for an additional 142,500 skilled foreign workers to enter the US in the period to 2002. However, some may find it difficult to gain permanent residency.

Self-centring activity of cytoplasm
Article Abstract:
Cytoplasmic fragments of black tetra melanophores form a radial microtubule array ten minutes after stimulation of aggregation. Organization of microtubules in the fragments returned to random position during redispersion of pigments. The formation of radial array is caused by the directional motion of pigment granules along the microtubules. Centring required microtubule dynamics and was observed to be very rapid.
