Protected areas and climate change: a case study of the cacti in the Tehuacan-Cuicatlan biosphere reserve, Mexico

Research has been conducted on cacti future distribution patterns in protected areas of Mexico. The authors describe the approach developed for the definition of protected areas once the current potential distribution pattern of the selected species is known.

Agroforestry: a refuge for tropical biodiversity after fire
Article Abstract:
The study reveals that there is more biodiversity in agroforestry systems than in other agricultural systems and in an ecological and socioeconomic sense agroforestry deploys land constructively for conservation and development in the tropics.
