Russia at forefront of Arctic land-grab
Article Abstract:
Marine scientists are worried that their research might be jeopardized by the international scrum to claim the Arctic seabed. Russia has highlighted its claims on a huge area by sending a mission to drop a titanium capsule with a Russian flag on the seabed underneath the North Pole, whereas Canada, Denmark, the U.S. and Norway are preparing to claim land in Arctic region.

Airgun ban halts seismic tests
Article Abstract:
The Canadian government has decided not to permit the geologists to use airguns for their researches. The decision was taken because the airguns may highly disturb the marine life of the country, especially whales.
