Search for alien signals stalls for want of cash
Article Abstract:
An ambitious radio array project for search of extraterrestrial intelligence is stalled for the time being for want of money. The construction of the Allen Telescope Array being built at Hat Creek Radio Observatory in California is put on hold as the project has failed to recruit donors other than Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates, its chief benefactor.

Security scare puts Pluto launch at risk
Article Abstract:
A security clampdown at Los Alamos National Laboratory in New Mexico can delay NASA's mission to Pluto by 5 years. The lab due to its sudden shutdown would not be able to provide the required fuel at the right time for the satellite scheduled for a January 2006 launch date.
