She-oak up in smoke
Article Abstract:
She-oak or Casuarinas, flourish in some of the most fire prone forests of southern Australia, and it was the fuel of choice for Australian bakeries and was used before that for tool handles, boat masts, beer barrels, bullock yokes. Desert She-oak in central Australia survives even the fiercest bushfire, and some species would resprout from their base, while different She-oak species have their own strategies for surviving fire but most rely on seed released from cones that are praised open by the heat of fire.

The red sea
Article Abstract:
There are several reddish green plants in Australia namely, Sacred Bamboo, flowering cherries and red-leaved maples which is due to a flavonoid called anthocyanin. However, the red color in red algae is quite different to the anthocyanin which is an 'accessory pigment' called phycoerythrin which traps light and transfers the energy to nearby chlorophyll.
