Similar meltwater contributions to glacial sea level changes from Antarctic and northern ice sheets
Article Abstract:
An intermediate complexity model is used for simulating the first-order impact of a range of relative meltwater releases from the two polar regions on the distribution of marine oxygen isotopes. The comparison conducted between the simulation and the data related to the contributions from Antarctica and northern ice sheets indicates that the contributions from Antarctica and northern ice sheets were approximately equal thousands of years ago.

Centennial-scale climate cooling with a sudden cold event around 8,200 years ago
Article Abstract:
A selection of well dated, highly resolved climate proxy records that are developed since the initial reports on the extent of climate variability during the interglacial period are reviewed. It is found that the actual geographic extent of the sharp meltwater-induced 8.2-kyr-BP event remains to be established outside the circum-North-Atlantic region, which notably requires the development of new proxy records in low to middle latitudes.

Striking a chord
Article Abstract:
The physical forms of landscape that are linked to the wide range of processes that shape it are discussed. One of the goals of the growing field of research working on Earth surface processes is to improve measurements of the rates of tectonic, sedimetologic and geomorphologic processes using the rapidly improving tools that are available.
