Spacing pattern in a social group of stray cats: effects on male reproductive success
Article Abstract:
The effects of spacing patterns on male reproductive success within a social, nonterritorial, promiscuous population of stray cats, Felis Catus, are investigated. The results indicate that spacing behavior and expanding home range size make an effective tactic to increase individual reproductive success in group-living stray cats.

Spacing behavior and its implications for the mating system of a precocial small mammal: an almost a social cavy Cavia magna?
Article Abstract:
A study was conducted to investigate the spacing behavior of Cavia magna, the unstudied caviomorph species that superficially resembles the partially sympatric Cavia aperea. The results point to a solitary social system and overlap promiscuity as the likely mating system for the Cavia magna population.

Maternal food restriction delays weaning in the guinea pig, Cavia porcellus
Article Abstract:
The effect of long-term maternal food restriction on litter mass at birth, duration of lactation and offspring development in the precocial guinea pig is studied. Mild experimental food restriction during reproduction resulted in prolonged nursing behavior of mothers.
