Literary darwinism is a mode of analysis that attempts to shake up literary criticism and it uses the concepts of evolutionary biology and the empirical, quantitative methods of the sciences. Literary critics are looking for patterns of meaning and adopt their theories from other branches of knowledge, rather than trying to produce an overarching theory of life.

Sheep horns downsized by hunters' taste for trophies
Article Abstract:
Biologists have long suspected that hunting can affect animal evolution as exemplified by the horns of bighorn sheep getting smaller as hunter pick off the most impressive rams before they reach their breeding peak. A solution to this growing problem maybe to limit the number of hunting permits.
