Article Abstract:
Seismographs around the world registered shock waves from the event originated from an underground nuclear test in North Korea which experts termed as a fizzle due to failed chain reaction in the plutonium producing smaller than planned nuclear explosion. Even if the test reveals a seriously flawed design, North Korea is no more than two years away from developing a functioning weapon and assessing the accuracy of their models.
