Article Abstract:
International project ANDRILL drilled and brought up final piece of core from beneath the Ross ice shelf on December 26, 2006. It will help to study Antarctica's geological history and thus could also help researchers to understand how the Antarctic ice sheet might respond to rise in temperatures in future.
