Toward a pro-life politics
Article Abstract:
Conservation biologists, as scientists and as citizens should play their role to develop a politics which is adamantly pro life as educated public will be more inclined to elect such pro life politicians. It is observed that the conservation scientists can be true conservatives, both pro-life and pro-science and can provide decision makers and society at large with defensible solutions to conservation problems.

Global habitat protection: Limitations of development interventions and a role for conservation performance payments
Article Abstract:
A system of direct payments for achieving ecosystem conservation objectives in low-income nations is discussed. The implementation of conservation contracting initiative in low-income nations faces substantial obstacles in matters of institutional design, property rights allocation and strategic behavior by potential beneficiaries even though there is no guarantee that a direct payment initiative will succeed.
