UK climate meeting deems risks 'serious'
Article Abstract:
A meeting of top-level climate researchers, held at UK Met Office in Exeter, delivered a comprehensive summary of current understanding about global warming. The meeting also identified research areas that need immediate attention, like highlighting possible melting of the ice caps on Antarctica and Greenland, and the impact of carbon dioxide on ocean acidification.

A nasty surprise in the greenhouse
Article Abstract:
Scientists analyzed the results of an international initiative to measure atmospheric methane concentrations and combine these data with a computer model of atmospheric chemistry and transport. The results reveal that the slowdown in global methane emissions in the 1990 was only temporary, and atmospheric methane might rise again.

Remobilization of southern African desert dune systems by twenty-first century global warming
Article Abstract:
Dunefields are likely to experience significant reactivations due to of twenty-first century climate change. This finding is independent of the General Climate Model (GCM) or emission scenario used.
