Everglades plan flawed, claim ecologists
Article Abstract:
A scheme to restore the Florida Everglades has serious failings according to leading ecologists. The scheme would involve refurbishing the regions's dykes and canals, providing flood protection, restoring the ecosystem and digging storage reservoirs. However the scheme's reliance on a computer model of Everglades hydrology is questioned and there are calls for an independent scientific review.
