Vitamin C degradation in plant cells via enzymatic hydrolysis of 4-0-oaxlyl-L-threonate
Article Abstract:
The rise in the L-ascorbate (vitamin C) component of crops can mainly lead to an increase in the biosynthesis process. However, it is displayed that this method is performed extracellularly in artificial 'Rosa' cells, and moves through various new intermediaries consisting of 4-0-oxalyl-L-threonate, and at least one novel enzyme function.

Anthocyanin biosynthesis in roses
Article Abstract:
The biosynthesis of anthocyanin, a principal pigment in flowers conferring intense red-to-blue cyanic colors on petals, in roses is presented. The biosynthesis of anthocyanin involves a number of glycosylation steps that are important for the stability of the pigment and also for its aqueous stability in vacuoles.

Lessons from natural molecules
Article Abstract:
The structural and mechanistic diversity of natural small molecules is studied and the diminishing future interest for natural products is evaluated. The structural features of representative natural products of medicinal importance, their mechanisms of action and their biosynthesis are described.
