Where the buffalo roam
Article Abstract:
The movement of bison from Yellowstone National Park into Montana during winter poses a threat to cattle farms as the bison are often infected with brucellosis. However, the extent of infection and the ability of the bison to infect the cattle is not accurately known. Legal hunting to restrict the bison has been criticized by animal right organizations headed by the Fund for Animals. To solve the problem, Montana will probably let some bison into Montana if they do not infect the cattle and relocate the bison instead of killing them.

Oregon Coast Aquarium makes a big splash
Article Abstract:
One hundred thousand Mexican fans witnessed the departure of Keiko, a killer whale, that was going to be transported to Newport, Oregon in 1996. Keiko is healthy and can remain underwater for over 17 minutes. The Oregon Coast Aquarium was conceived as an economic remedy for the struggling fishing and timber industries, and the arrival of Keiko will improve the local economy.
