Which D4 do you have?
Article Abstract:
D4, a dopamine receptor in the brain, comes in five polymorphic forms that may affect vulnerability to schizophrenia and drug addiction. Hubert H.M. Van Tol and colleagues analysed D4 and found three forms with two- , four- or sevenfold repeats of a 48-base-pair sequence in the putative third cytoplasmic loop region and two forms with one or five repeats of the same sequence. These findings may lead to better drug therapies for drug addiction and schizophrenia.
