Royal Winnipeg Ballet, the second ballet company in Canada after the National Ballet, is playing Mark Godden's The Magic Flute during their tour in Halifax, Nova Scotia. Mark Godden has converted Mozart's The Magic Flute from opera to ballet, with a libretto by Emanuel Schikaneder, the story is an allegorical battle of good and evil crammed with symbolism based on freemasonry.

The Bolshoi Ballet, co-presented by Bank of America Celebrity Series and The Wang Center for the Performing Arts, has performed its Don Quixote with confidence and flair. The Bolshoi has retained the prologue in Boston, which was pared down to the barest appearance of the Don during their last visit to New York.

San Francisco Ballet is celebrating the twentieth year of Helgi Tomasson's tenure as director of the company at the War Memorial Opera house. Yuri Possokhov performed as the principal dancer in both the repertory programs, 'Study in Motion' and 'Reflections', during the spring 2004 in this house.
