A very racy One Lap
Article Abstract:
The 1993 One Lap race began at the Race Rock Cafe in Detroit, MI, and the 2800-mile, 89-hour race included ten categories of vehicles. A 1969 Plymouth Valiant was one of the more unusual entries. Proceeds from the race went to Ronald McDonald Children's Charities.

Article Abstract:
The 1995 Bridgestone/Hooters One Lap of America required driving 4,098 miles to compete at 11 race tracks across the US. Co-drivers David Murry and John Lawlor took the lead at the first event at Road America in Wisconsin and went on to win the overall title.

Indy Racing League is up and rolling. Slowly
Article Abstract:
The Indy 200, an Indy Racing League (IRL) race in Florida in Jan 1997, was successful. Eddie Cheever won the race, which featured new engines. Some people seem to object to IRL founder Tony George for personal reasons.
