The rank-by-rank description and comparison of the results of the road test between six SUVs to climb the 4600 feet upward at Chicken Point, Arizona are presented. The cars include Ford Explorer XLT V-8, Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited 4WD 5.7L, Mitsubishi Montero Limited, Nissan Pathfinder SE off-road, Toyota 4 Runner 4WD Sport Edition and Volkswagen V-6.

Bad roads. Exactly how bad are they?
Article Abstract:
Several roads in the US are rated on International Roughness Index (IRI) to determine their roughness in inches per mile of road. Experts tested some bad roads in the US and concluded that IRI ratings measures the roughness by the speed a vehicle could take on a bad road.
