Jocks of all trades
Article Abstract:
NASCAR pit crews members have refined the pitstops into a science, reducing, the World record of 17.695 seconds in 2001 by Matt Kenseth's Roush Racine Team, to just over 12 sec for changing four times tires, adding 24 gal. of fuel, and adjusting the suspension. Pitstops require the same hand-eye coordination necessary in most traditional sports as no longer can the best driver with the fastest car count on winning races if he has second-rate pitstops.
