The $20,000 Chrysler Sebring JX received the highest ratings of the three convertibles from the 1996 model year evaluated because of its performance, comfort and minimal wind buffeting. It lacks speed compared to the 1996 Pontiac Sunfire SE, and both are better than the 1996 Volkswagen Cabrio.

Lexus ES300: upping the ante in the thirtysomething-grand market

The ES300 is Lexus's top-selling vehicle and is similar in many ways to the Toyota Camry. The base price is approximately $32,500 and it will have to compete with the Cadillac Catera and other similar luxury cars. This luxury car handles well.
