The $20,000 Chrysler Sebring JX received the highest ratings of the three convertibles from the 1996 model year evaluated because of its performance, comfort and minimal wind buffeting. It lacks speed compared to the 1996 Pontiac Sunfire SE, and both are better than the 1996 Volkswagen Cabrio.

Lexus ES300: upping the ante in the thirtysomething-grand market
