Article Abstract:
The efforts of CPA Australia and other professional bodies in procuring Senate's approval to liability reform measures are discussed. The implications of the Treasury Legislation Amendment on the Professional Standards Legislation, Proportionate Liability and amendments to the Trade Practices Act are also discussed. The effect of the reforms on the professional services is analyzed.
