Becoming self-sufficient
Article Abstract:
The number of small companies that are choosing to self-insure is rising. Small companies that do their own coverage of employees' medical expenses eliminate the soaring costs of traditional insurance plans and maintain cash reserves. A survey reveals that the percentage of small companies that self-insured medical plans in 1991 is up by 37% compared to 1990 figures.
