Defining the transcriptional redundancy of early bodywall muscle development in C. elegans: Evidence for a unified theory of animal muscle development
Article Abstract:
The myogenic potential of each myogenic regulatory factor (MRF), along with two additional Caenorhabditis elegans proteins, UNC-120/SRF and HND-1/HAND, is assayed and characterized to clarify their roles in bodywall muscle development. Caenorhabditis elegans bodywall muscle development is found to be dependent on transcription factors that are associated with all three types of mammalian muscle.

A PP2A regulatory subunit positively regulates Ras-mediated signaling during Caenorhabditis elegans vulval induction
Article Abstract:
The article describes the regulatory role of protein phosphatase 2A (PP2A) regulatory B subunit in Ras-mediated signal transduction. Genetic analysis showing that sur-6 PP2A-B regulates Ras pathway signaling during vulval induction is presented.
