Naturally occurring bacteria similar to the methyl tert-butyl ether (MTBE)-degrading strain PM1 are present in MTBE-contaminated groundwater
Article Abstract:
Research has been conducted on methyl tert-butyl ether-contaminated groundwater. The authors report the discovery of bacterial strain discovered in this groundwater which is identical to the native strain PM1, degrading methyl tert-butyl ether, in its ribosomal 16S DNA sequence.

Phylogeny and characterization of three nifH-homologous genes from Paenibacillus azotofixans
Article Abstract:
Research has been conducted on Paenibacillus azotofixans DNA regions which contain genes responsible for nitrogen fixation. The authors describe the cloning and characterization of these regions, and report the results.
