Give P2P a chance
Article Abstract:
Peer-to-peer (P2P) networking was attacked by the entertainment industry for its use in pirating copyright material, however, P2P can prove useful if some guidelines are followed. P2P can be used to share data, to create pooled image libraries, disseminate genomic scale datasets and share publications and this can be achieved if P2P software enables scheduled searching, addressing copyright issues, giving editing access to trusted people and integrating with other P2P networks.

The scientific do-over
Article Abstract:
Arul Chinnaiyan coauthored 16 books between 1995 and 1998 including those describing identification of apoptotic signaling pathway members, FADD and FLICE. He feels if he had the modern technology at that period of time, he would save lot of time, which he could use to expand his work including microarrays and RNAi tools, enabling him survey protein's role in the cell, rather than limiting himself to apoptotic pathways.
