An architectural map of the anaphase-promoting complex
Article Abstract:
An analysis of the architecture of the anaphase-promoting complex (APC) using a recently constructed budding yeast strain that is viable in the absence of normally essential APC subunits is presented. It is found that the IR domain of Cdc20 is dispensable for viability, suggesting that Cdc20 can activate the APC through another domain.

A role for the CPF 3' -end processing machinery in RNAP II-dependent gene looping
Article Abstract:
A physical association of promoter and terminator regions of the yeast BUD3 and SEN1 genes is reported. These interactions are RNA Polymerase II (RNAP II) transcription dependent, require the Ssu72 and Pta1 components of the CPF 3'-end processing complex, and require the phosphatase activity of Ssu72.

The microRNA miR-124 antagonizes the anti-neural REST/SCP1 pathway during embryonic CNS development
Article Abstract:
The regulation of small C-terminal domain phosphatases (SCP1) is essential for neurogenesis during development of central nervous system (CNS). The neuron-enriched microRNA and MiR-124 down-regulates the expression of SCP1overexpression.
