Intraspecific variability in nestling growth and fledging behavior of Cassin's Auklets at Triangle Island, British Columbia
Article Abstract:
The intraspecific variability in nestling growth and fledging behavior of Cassin's Auklets at Triangle Island, British Columbia was studied using a model that considers the timing of fledging as an adaptive strategy. Results reveal that fast growing nestlings fledged heavier and younger compared to slow growing nestlings. Furthermore, it was revealed that the nestling habitat influenced and affected fledging.
