Enzymatic synthesis of high-molecular-mass poly-gamma-glutamate and regulation of its stereochemistry
Article Abstract:
The process to synthesize the in vitro poly-gamma-glutamate (PGA) with the high molecular mass has proved to be successful with the help of the enzyme related cell membranes from Bacillus subtilis. The outcome indicates that the stereochemical factors of enzymatically synthesized PGAs greatly rely on the stereochemistry of glutamate as the substrate.

Biodegradation of all stereoisomers of the EDTA substitute iminodisuccinate by Agrobacterium tumefaciens BY6 requires an espimerase and a stereoselective C-N lyase
Article Abstract:
The iminodisuccinate (IDS) - degrading system, which alienates from this organism comprises of IDS - espimerase and a C-N lyase. In this study, the two enzyme system from Agrobacterium tumefaciens BY6 that catalyzes the important results in the degradation of all the IDS isomers is discussed.
