Monitoring the kinetics of glycoprotein synthesis and secretion in the filamentous fungus Trichoderma reesei: cellobiohydrolase I (CBHI) as a model protein
Article Abstract:
Results describe development of a dual radioisotope metabolic labeling technique for kinetic analysis of glycoprotein synthesis and secretion in Trichoderma reesei fungus using cellobiohydrolase I as a model protein. Data indicate that efficiency of the process is dependent on the culture medium condition and fungus physiological status.

Overexpression of the gene encoding GTP:mannose-1-phosphate guanyltrasferase, mgp1, increases cellular GDP-mannose levels and protein mannosylation in Trichoderma reesei
Article Abstract:
Research has been conducted on secreted protein glycosylation. The study of the regulation and limiting factors in proteins' glycosylation has been carried out via overexpression of mgp1 and dpm1 genes from Trichoderma reesi, which encode GTP:mannose-1-phosphate guanyltrasferase and dolichyl phosphate mannose synthase, in T. reesi, and the data demonstrate the regulatory role of cellular GDP-mannose in protein glycosylation.

Cloning and characterization of the glucosidase II alpha subunit gene of Trichoderma reesei: A frameshift mutation results in the aberrant glycosylation profile of the hypercellulolytic strain rut-C30
Article Abstract:
The isolation and characterization of the gene encoding the glycosidase II alpha subunit of the industrially important fungus Trichoderma reesei is described. The gene encoding the glucosidase II alpha subunit in the hypercellulolytic strain Rut-C30 contains a frameshift mutation resulting in a truncated gene product.
