Characterization of transposon Tn1549, conferring VanB-type resistance in Enterococcus spp
Article Abstract:
Results show that Tn1549 is a 34 kilobase transposon which confers vancomycin resistance to clinical isolates of Enterococcus species. Data also indicate that Tn1549 contains 30 open reading frames and is organized into three functional regions.

FindTarget: software for subtractive genome analysis
Article Abstract:
The authors discuss the software developed to facilitate the differential genome analysis. The purpose of this software called FindTarget is to search for the genes present in one bacteria group and absent in another and the results demonstrate that the identified genes are involved in the cell wall processes.

Comparative transcriptome analysis of Listeria monocytogenes strains of the two major lineages reveals differences in virulence, cell wall, and stress response
Article Abstract:
The strain-specific variations in gene expression are explained by comparing gene expression profiles of different strains of Listeria monocytogenes. Result concludes various form of interaction with host cells, their environment and survival.
