Construction of Escherichia coli strains for conversion of nitroacetophenones to ortho-aminophenols
Article Abstract:
A recombinant plasmid carrying nitrobenzene (NB) nitroreductase (nbzA) and hydroxylaminobenzene (HAB) mutase A genes is constructed and the enzymes in Escherichia coli JS995 are expressed. The biocatalytic production of ortho-aminophenols from nitroacetophenols suggests that strain JS995 might be useful in the biocatalytic production of a variety of substituted ortho-aminophenols from the corresponding nitroaromatic compounds.

Bacterial conversion of hydroxylamino aromatic compounds by both lyase and mutase enzymes involves intramolecular transfer of hydroxyl groups
Article Abstract:
Research has been conducted on conversion of hydroxylaminobenzene by Pseudomonas pseudoalcaligenes JS45 strain. The hypothesis that intramolecular mechanism observed during this conversion applies to the other types of enzyme-catalyzed reactions has been tested, and the results are described.

On the origins of cyanuric acid hydrolase: purification, substrates, and prevalence of AtzD from Pseudomonas sp. strain ADP
Article Abstract:
Research has been conducted on Pseudomonas sp. strain ADP cyanuric acid hydrolase. The authors have purified this acid to homogeneity, and have demonstrated that this acid is a substrate.
