Control of Listeria spp. by competitive-exclusive bacteria in floor drains of a poultry processing plant
Article Abstract:
The efficacy of competitive-exclusion bacteria (CE) in controlling listerial growth and eliminating the pathogen in floor drains at a wide range of temperatures in a facility in which fresh poultry is processed is evaluated. The results have shown that application of the two CE can reduce the number of Listeria sp. cells in floor drains at 3 to 26 degree centigrade in a facility in which fresh poultry is processed.

Efficacy of electrolyzed oxidizing water for inactivating Escherichia coli O157:H7, Salmonella enteritidis, and Listeria monocytogenes
Article Abstract:
Research was conducted to examine the efficacy of electrolyzed oxidizing water for inactivating Escherichia coli O157:H7, Salmonella enteritidis and Listeria monocytogenes with a view to its potential application to foods and food contact surfaces as an antimicrobial treatment. Results suggest that electrolyzed oxidizing water may be a useful disinfectant. However, appropriate applications have to be validated.

Control of listeria monocytogens in a biofilm by competitive-exclusion microorganisms
Article Abstract:
The biofilms from drains in the amenities that process food along with the past information of no delectable listeria monocytogenes in floor drains were civilized for microorganisms that produce antilisterial metabolites. The result indicated that the two isolates would greatly reduce the listeria monocytogens.
