Coronavirus pathogenesis and the emerging pathogen severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus
Article Abstract:
The pathogenesis of the previously known coronation viruses, the contribution of individual viral genes to tropism and pathogenic phenotype are discussed along with the roles of individual coronavirus genes in infection. Reverse genetics technology has advanced the understanding of coronaviruses and both mutant, chimeric recombinant viruses are used in investigation of the roles of spike and other proteins in coronavirus replication and pathogenis.

Questionable thymic nurse cell
Article Abstract:
The purpose of this review is to summarize the information published on the role of thymic stromal cells in the process of thymic education. The reports examining the population of thymic cortical epithelial cells called the nurse cells have been evaluated and discussed.

Sodium ion cycle in bacterial pathogens: evidence from cross-genome comparisons
Article Abstract:
The focus of this review is the analysis of bacterial genomic sequences. Results indicate that Na (super)+ cycle may be common among both human and animal pathogens, and the role of this cycle in the pathogens' virulence is discussed.
