Global survey of organ and organelle protein expression in mouse: Combined proteomic and transcriptomic profiling
Article Abstract:
The subcellular fractionation with exhaustive tandem mass spectrometry-based shotgun sequencing is combined to examine the protein content of four major organellar compartments. Using rigorous statistical filtering and machine-learning methods, the subcellular localization of 3274 of the 4768 proteins identified was determined, including 1503 previously uncharacterized factors.

Mapping global histone acetylation patterns to gene expression
Article Abstract:
The genome-wide acetylation profiles for eleven lysines is analyzed in the four core histones of Saccharomyces cerevisiae to search for existence of patterns of acetylation and to analyze their relationship to gene activity. These patterns are generated by histone acetytransferases and deacetylases with specificities for different regions affecting common chromatin regions.
