Biological sensor for sucrose availability: relative sensitivities of various reporter genes
Article Abstract:
The inaZ reporter gene appears to be more sensitive to low sucrose concentrations than thegfp or lacZ reporter genes. These genes could be incorporated into a sucrose biosensor.

Microbiology of the phyllosphere
Article Abstract:
This review discusses the identity and behavior of microbial colonists on plant surfaces temed epiphytes, whose habitat structures are called phyllosphere. The interactions of various epiphytes with plants and the plant surfaces per se are examined in the light of new molecular and microscopic advances.

Detection and genotyping of Arcobacter and campylobacter isolates from retail chicken samples by use of DNA oligonucleotide arrays
Article Abstract:
Several DNA oligonucleotide arrays are employed to analyze the detection and genotyping of Arcobacter and Campylobacter isolates from different chicken samples. The results show that C. jejuni improves the sensitivity of the DNA microarray, which can then be used to identify various other pathogens and bacteria.
