Developmental regulation of B lymphocyte immune tolerance compartmentalizes clonal selection from receptor selection
Article Abstract:
Research was conducted to examine mechanisms for immune tolerance that operate during the early bone marrow stages of B lymphocyte cell development. Several antibodies were utilized in the study, including, goat anti-mouse IgM-FITC, anti-mouse CD21 7E9-biotin and goat anti-mouse IgM-PE. Results indicated that cycling, interleukin-7 (IL-7) responsive BCT Tg cells could be induced to increase levels after specific antigen stimulation and IL-7 withdrawal.

Lack of BCL10 mutations in germ cell tumors and B cell lymphomas
Article Abstract:
A study was conducted to analyze a possible role for BCL10 in male germ cell tumors and lymphoma pathogenesis. Mutation analysis of the coding region was carried out in a panel of germ cell tumors, lymphomas and follicular lymphomas. Results indicated that the lack of mutation in the BCL10 coding region may not exclude it as a deleted tumor suppressor gene. Other genetic or epigenetic mechanisms can silence gene expression.
