Disinfection of drinking water by using a novel electrochemical reactor employing carbon-cloth electrodes
Article Abstract:
A new method to disinfect drinking water with the use of an electrochemical reactor is introduced. Sterilization is based on the electrochemical oxidation of intracellular coenzyme A, which leads to decreasedmicrobial cell respiration and consequently, cell death. This new method does not produce toxic substances and is able to sterilize other bacteria. Tests conducted to determine bacterial survival which used Escherichia coli as a model microorganism showed that the disinfection ability of the sterilizer is sufficient for household use.

Efficient and stable display of functional proteins on bacterial magnetic particles using Mms13 as a novel anchor molecule
Article Abstract:
A study was conducted on the use of novel anchor molecule for targeted protein display onto magnetic monoparticles in the field of various biomedical applications, as they were easy to handle and separate from biological samples. It was observed that the assembly of other functional proteins onto bacterial magnetic particles was facilitated by the utility of Mms13 as a molecular anchor.

Disinfection of microorganisms by use of electrochemically regenerated periodate
Article Abstract:
A new method for disinfection of microorganism by electrochemically regenerated periodate was developed. The oxidation of iodate of periodate was observed at 1.25 V versus a silver/silver chloride electrode in a cyclic voltammogram of potassium iodate and it was found that the survival rate was 0% at 1.25V.
